What do you like most about MRHC?

The playroom of course!

Describe a typical weekend in your family.

We sleep as late as you can with two little boys, eat a late breakfast, and watch cartoons. Maybe by lunch time we’ve decided what to do.  We love to go on kid friendly hikes when the weather is nice.

Describe your family using 3 words.

Adventurous, Loud, and Funny

What do you consider to be your most treasured family memory?

When Doug was born we introduced him to Max.  “Max this is your brother, Doug.”  At that point, Max made the sign for “dog.”  To this day, it still seems sometimes that Max thinks Doug is his pet.  Doug plays along – panting, licking, and eating table scraps from Max.

Do you have any advice for brand new parents?

Be flexible.  Leave your house with the baby.  Change up the routine so that the baby learns how to adapt to different environments and situations.  Don’t keep a quiet house for the baby – just keep everything at its normal volume, otherwise you get a light sleeper.

What is the most important thing to you as far as being a parent is concerned?

Being 100% certain that the boys know that we love them unconditionally. We will make a lot of mistakes as parents, but they’ll be fine if they know they are loved no matter what.
