Artsrun graduated from the Coaching Department of the Armenian State Institute of Physical Training in 1969, where he later taught as an instructor. Skillfully trained and qualified, he worked with organized athletic teams and high category sportsman for the Republic of Armeniauntil he resigned in 2003. Active in research work, he published 3 instructional booklets and over 30 articles on muscle training and recuperation. Artsrun displayed great skills in this area serving to benefit the national teams of his country, that won recognition in the field of sports of the Republic. Extremely knowledgeable, he is very competent in a wide range of modern techniques of Sports Massage. In addition, he includes Deep Tissue as well as Manual Manipulation and Reflexology to his array of modalities.

Astghik Ayvazyan
Carrie has been in practice since 1992, and specializes in combining Acupuncture and Massage Therapy into one treatment. This offers maximum relief from stress, tension and pain. Each treatment plan is tailored to the individual, addressing a wide variety of internal disorders as well as muscular issues and sports
related injuries.
She enjoys educating people as to the importance of receiving consistent bodywork in order to prevent injuries, as well as as part of a wholistic lifestyle to help prevent most modern stress related diseases. Bodywork should not be viewed as just an occasional luxury, but a necessary part of any personal fitness or athletic regimen.
Strength training, hot yoga, and qigong are important components of her personal health care regimen, and encourages others to consistently use these exercises, or whatever they enjoy doing,
in order to achieve their health and fitness goals.

Terry is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute and holds a B.S. degree in Nutrition from Virginia Tech. She specializes in Cranio-Sacral Therapy, a modality that focuses on the health of the spinal fluid that moves throughout the body – an approach to support and facilitate management of chronic pain and calming the central nervous system. Lymphatic Drainage and Myofascial Release modalities are also used insession when appropriate.
Corinne graduated from Ecole Superieure de Commerce in France with a degree in International Business and Marketing. Originally from France, she moved to United States in 1991 and decided later to follow her passion and become a Massage Therapist. She graduated with top honors from Heritage Institute of Massage in Falls Church, Va. She worked in a chiropractor office for over two years where she specialized in Deep Tissue massage for medical conditions involving lower back pain, neck pain, harmstring, IT band and sciatica. Since then, she has worked closely with doctors who referred their patients to her for pain management. Corinne is certified in Neuromuscular Therapy and Myoskeletal Alignment. Her clientele includes a lot of athletes preparing for special events.
She joined Mclean Racquet and Health Club in 2009 and has been the Director in September 2010.

Astghik has over 23 years of experience as a Massage Therapist. A graduate of the School of Applied Kinesthetic, she specializes in Swedish Massage and Deep Tissue and Acupressure. Astghik’s technique is individually tailored to release pain and stress. She has been a therapist at McLean Racquet Club for over 11 years. She is certified in Ortho-Bionomy which is a gentle, non invasive, osteopathically-based form of body therapy which is highly effective in working with chronic stress, injuries and problems associated with postural and structural imbalances. She is also certified in Neuromuscular and cranio-sacral therapy and in the use of aromatherapy. She is known as a highly qualified, skilled and capable specialist among her clients and colleagues.

Elena is certified to practice massage in both the United States and Russia. She received her American certification from the Fairfax School of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork in Fairfax, Virginia. She has her B.S. Degree in Exercise Science and Physical Education which makes her extremely knowledgeable of current developments in massage therapy, fitness and the physical education areas. As a Physical Education Teacher and Massage Therapist, she has designed, organized, directed and supervised exercise activities for children in the gym and swimming pool, as well as conducted massage therapy for them in accordance to physician prescription. Elena has a passion for her work and connects completely and intuitively with all her clients. Her hands seek out all the stressed, tight areas of the body and with a myriad of techniques, she releases all the tension. A remarkable healing touch, you emerge from each of Elena’s sessions with a profound sense of relaxation and well-being.

Michele is a graduate of the Potomac Massage Training Institute in Washington, DC and certified by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork. She has over 16 years of bodywork experience, including Reflexology, Thai Yoga Massage, CranioSacral Therapy, and Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), a technique of assisted stretches used by many athletes. She has a degree in Health Education which focuses on preventive health…taking care of oneself and staying healthy. Michele specializes in Swedish and Deep Tissue Massage, and can give guidance and assistance in proper stretching. Her massage sessions are based on her client’s specific needs. Whether you have sore, tight muscles or just want to relax, she can give you the perfect massage.
